Stupeflix announced today, at the Business Video Expo, that they are changing the way they connect to developers and allow access to the Stupeflix video creation suite API. Whereas it was somewhat cost prohibitive in the past, they are now lowering the price of both access and video rendering to commoditize video creation.

Some time ago I wrote about Vid.ly - one upload, universal URL, fire and forget sort of encoding service where you could upload video, grab one single URL and it would work just about anywhere. Today, they're announcing that everything Vid.ly offers will be directly integrated into Encoding.com for a simple workflow from uploading to delivery.

Leanin today announced the launch of something the company calls the first of its kind: a social video player. The Leanin service is a hosted solution, integrates smoothly with YouTube & Facebook, and aims to help brands better understand video engagement through an arsenal of custom analytics and viewer data points.

I have to admit, it’s not the most intuitive name, bibbil . It sounds like a Hobbit that might be related to Bilbo in fact and that doesn’t inspire thoughts of gamified video chat in my mind, but hey, what’s in a name, right?
