It seems to be online video contest week as I’ve got two assignments about online video contest platfoms and now Vimeo is launching a contest . The new partnership between Current TV and Vimeo is looking for some crowdsource action to kick off a series of documentaries.

At Adobe MAX 2011 , Adobe showed off some really interesting stuff that the upcoming versions of their software will be able to do including video meshes, an entirely new way to edit videos, and synchronized crowdsource video. Adobe Video Meshes This first video is about video meshes and shows what can be done including the ability to create 3D fly-throughs of 2D videos and change focus and depth of field.

On Sunday, Google Chrome released a new video called “Google Chrome: The Johnny Cash Project.” The video also ran on television over the weekend. It features a new collaborative art project attempting to stitch together a new music video for Johnny Cash’s “Ain’t No Grave” by having artists recreate individual frames and portraits of Cash in their own style.
