I actually wondered if this was something cable providers were chewing on in regards to the increased popularity of Netflix and Hulu.

Netflix got Dreamworks this week, Amazon got FOX and now DiSH is set to offer a new online streamingv video offering, it’s a great time to be an online streamer (though the Netflix deal doesn’t affect me as I’m a non-user). New Blockbuster parent company, DiSH Networks is set to offer a steaming video service called Blockbuster Movie Pass to its subscribers. The New Blockbuster Movie Pass Earlier in the year DiSH bought the ailing, bankrupt Blockbuster and I figured they were going to use it to build on a streaming video service for their users

Netflix’s public apology, and ensuring announcement that the DVD service would be split off into its own service, called Quickster, have been met with a public reaction the company should be getting used to: disappointment, frustration, and scorn.

The Hulu auction seems to be faltering.

Well, well, well… this is going to get pretty interesting pretty quickly. One of the three television networks behind Hulu, Fox, has decided to end next-day access to episodes of their programs on Hulu and on the company’s website

If you have been watching FOX episodes online the day after they first aired, you’re about to lose that ability in what looks like a bad move for consumers and a defensive move on FOX’s part. As of August 15th, you will have to wait a week and a day for those new episodes.
