Google Plus Is Adding 625,000 New Users Per Day

Ever since the launch of Google Plus, Paul Allen over at elance has been crunching some numbers based on their company data. And in the rare moments Google has given official numbers, Allen's have been remarkably close--as when Larry Page stated there were over 40 million and Allen's number was 38 million. Now Allen says there are over 62 million users in total , with Google Plus Adding 625,000 new users per day

Sadly, registration has been closed again already, and the sending of invites has been temporarily disabled. I’ve played around with it a bit today and this evening, and one thing’s pretty clear: video is a big part of Google’s social strategy.

Sometimes we get so used to talking about how popular video is, and how fast it’s growing online, that we actually lose perspective a bit on exactly how rapidly it’s moving. You might even say we’ve been taking the Internet for granted a bit. Because, if Cisco’s predictions are anywhere close to correct, our obsessive use of online video is going to cripple the Internet in just a few short years.
