Xbox Studios Taps Ex-WB CEO Jordan Levin As Its Executive VP

Xbox Entertainment Studios has recently show a flurry of activity, and its latest transaction brings a new high-level executive into the fold. Microsoft’s upstart digital production wing has snapped up Jordan Levin , the former CEO of the WB Network , hiring him to be the company’s executive Vice President. As EVP, Levin will report to Nancy Tellem , whom he worked with back in the 90s at the WB.

The First Xbox-Exclusive Program Will Be Docu-Series From Oscar Winner

A few days ago, Microsoft President of Entertainment and Digital Nancy Tellem announced that the company would finally start distributing original series via Xbox , more than one year after Tellem arrived in Redmond to spearhead web video production. Now, the platform’s first original series has been revealed: It’s a currently-untitled collection of documentaries dealing with the digital revolution. The project will be helmed by Oscar winner Simon Chinn and Emmy winner Jonathan Chinn through their new venture, Lightbox

Nancy Tellum came to Microsoft as President of Entertainment and Digital way back in September 2012 by way of CBS and Warner Brothers . She served as President for 12 years at the former network and helped produce broadcast television hits like ER and Friends for the latter.
